EU Presidency: debates with Bulgarian PM Borissov and Austrian Chancellor Kurz - Main contents
MEPs will debate lawmaking progress in the Council with Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Tuesday morning.
Political group leaders will assess the achievements of the outgoing - first ever - Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU with Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Tuesday morning, starting at 9:00.
In a second debate, starting at around 10.00, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will present the priorities of the incoming Presidency. Austria has already held the Council’s rotating Presidency in 1998 and 2006.
