In 't Veld asks questions about non-implementation of security measures

In the past 15 years many security measures have been adopted under big pressure. However, Member States often do not implement these laws. Yesterday, the NOS published an article about the fact that the Dutch authorities, including Schiphol Airport, fail to check fingerprints in passports, as required by a 2009 Regulation. The Dutch Ministry of the Interior acknowledges that Member States do not exchange the keys to "read" each other's fingerprints. Sophie in 't Veld asked the following questions to the Commission, which have to be answered with priority within three weeks.
