Public Migration Debate in Prague

Sophie in 't Veld will take part in a public debate entitled 'Refugees between West and East', tonight (22 October) at 7 PM in Prague. The event, the first of its kind to take place in the Czech Republic, will explore the different approaches in the Eastern and Western EU member states to the refugee crisis and the divisions it has created within the EU.

The event is hosted by Czech ALDE MEP Petr Ježek. Other participants include ALDE MEPs Cecilia Wikström and Angelika Mlinar, Head of the Czech Interior Ministry’s Migration and Asylum Department, Tomáš Haišman, and Director of the Think Tank 'European Values', Radko Hokovský.

The debate will take place at the CERGE-EI institute in Prague. Live streaming is available below in English and Czech (it is possible to change the language in your browser).
