First set of audit reports on European Agencies for 2013
Today the European Court of Auditors (ECA) published the first set of specific annual reports on European Agencies for the financial year ended 31 December 2013. Every year, the ECA audits the annual accounts and the legality and regularity of the transactions underlying those accounts, for all the European Agencies.
European Agencies are created by EU legislation to undertake specific tasks and are active in many areas, such as safety, security, health, research, finance and migration. Each agency has its own mandate, board, director, staff and budget.
See below the specific annual reports on: the European Police College (CEPOL), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the European Research Council Executive Agency (ERCEA) and the Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency (TEN-TEA). Further specific annual reports are expected towards the end of the year.
