-Addressed telecoms regulators in an event for the ITU. The world of telecoms and digital technology has a big role in our economic future. And regulators have a big role in promoting innovation - ensuring regulation is focused where it is most needed, but also shaking up markets rather merely defending the status quo. All important as we build a connected continent in Europe.

-Launched the Polish initiative to boost digital skills - one of the first national “coalitions” to be made under the EU’s own digital jobs initiative. This is a hugely important task if we are to keep our global competitiveness — and avoid a lost generation of unemployed. But acting in this area calls for sharing and joining - not just everyone protecting their own little kingdom. And it’s great to see all stakeholders in Poland getting together in that cooperative way.

-Held a series of bilateral meetings - like with Magdalena Gaj of Polish telecoms regulator UKE; and Polish Minister Michał Boni. Many fascinating discussions about the importance of ICT for growth, and inclusion; and the challenge of adapting regulation for the single market. But good to have such support for our plans to build a telecommunications single market in Europe - from a country that has in so many other areas seen the benefits of a borderless Europe.
