Amendement op het voorschrift voor het beheer van communautaire middelen getekend (en) - Hoofdinhoud

This Wednesday, in Strasbourg, the Spanish Secretary of State for the European Union, Diego López Garrido, and the President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek i, took part in the signing of the amendment of the Regulation governing Community Funds.

The proposed amendment, put forward by the Commission, is based on simplifying the existing rules to facilitate quicker implementation of programmes and projects financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund.

In recent months, the Spanish Presidency of the EU has worked closely with the Commission and the European Parliament to achieve a flexible text, adapted to the needs of the Member States.

The main amendments include liquidity guarantees for certain Member States, simplification of the decommitment rules and simplification of the rules to make it easier to manage the Funds.

The new Regulation will be published at the end of June, during the Spanish Presidency.
