Dear Mr. President,
Please, find attached a letter for the attention of President Sarkozy.
For years many members of Parliament have campaigned to end our moving between Brussels and Strasbourg. The cost, including the environmental, of having to work in two locations is completely unacceptable.
As stated in my letter to President Sarkozy, we are convinced that this moment of (financial) crisis is actually a time for meeting the expectations of the European taxpayers.
Action is expected in order to convince an increasingly sceptical electorate of the value of having both a European Parliament and indeed the European Union itself.
We do look forward to receiving your reply at your earliest convenience.
