No 112/2001

of 28 September 2001

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

  • (1) 
    Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 70/2001 of 19 June 2001(1).
  • (2) 
    Commission Regulation (EC) No 2364/2000 of 25 October 2000 concerning the fourth list of priority substances as foreseen under Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.
  • (3) 
    Commission Directive 2000/66/EC of 23 October 2000 including an active substance (triasulfuron) in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.
  • (4) 
    Commission Directive 2000/67/EC of 23 October 2000 including an active substance (esfenvalerate) in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.
  • (5) 
    Commission Directive 2000/68/EC of 23 October 2000 including an active substance (bentazone) in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market(5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following indents shall be added in point 12a (Council Directive 91/414/EEC) in Chapter XV of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 L 0066: Commission Directive 2000/66/EC of 23 October 2000 (OJ L 276, 28.10.2000, p. 35),

  • 32000 L 0067: Commission Directive 2000/67/EC of 23 October 2000 (OJ L 276, 28.10.2000, p. 38),
  • 32000 L 0068: Commission Directive 2000/68/EC of 23 October 2000 (OJ L 276, 28.10.2000, p. 41)."

Article 2

The following indent shall be added in point 12e (Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93) in Chapter XV of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 R 2364: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2364/2000 of 25 October 2000 (OJ L 273, 26.10.2000, p. 5)."

Article 3

The texts of Commission Regulation (EC) No 2364/2000 and Commission Directives 2000/66/EC, 2000/67/EC and 2000/68/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 September 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(6).

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
