(26) Amongst the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, SDG 8 concerns “decent work and economic growth”. The Listing Act is expected to contribute to the growth of SMEs by providing easier access to funding through public markets. Newly listed companies are a key motor of new investment and job creation. Easier access to public markets creates incentives for entrepreneurs to diversify in times of economic turmoil, leading to a more resilient economy.
